The results of the Global Habbo Youth Survey Brand Update 2009 are based on a survey that was carried out on all the Habbo sites during April 2009. Habbo is the world’s largest and fastest growing virtual world and social networking service for teenagers. The study reached a sample size of 112 000 respondents from more than 30 countries.


The report focuses on youth brands and teen web sites and games, including two parts:
1) Insights into teens' opinions about brands: Preferred brand types, Social function of brands, and Impact of brands on buying decisions
2) Top 10 Brand and Media rankings, including development from 2008

Get this report to learn the favorite youth brands, and the most popular online games and web sites among the 12-18 year old teenagers currently. This info is provided on a global level and from 30 countries around the world.


The survey was a follow-up on the Global Habbo Youth Survey 2008 conducted 18 months prior this study. In this follow up study the aim was to gain deeper insight on teenagers’ opinions about brands, and update the brand and media preference results of the GHYS book. Some new brand categories were also added: favorite makeup, consumer electronics, mobile phone operator and sportswear brands. The respondents were also asked to name three brands they had began to dislike lately.
